Hi to all~Art school for me was an easy choice(father was self taught)but difficult to endure due to the bull. Made 3 attempts to obtain degree-even changing major once. Didn't realize that all the phoney baloney posturing is exactly like the real art world. Have no credentials, resume is "sketchy"(also feel most of those are contrived), am gaining somewhat on getting "out there". Had an old professor tell me recently "you should be showing-forget about the degree-lots of artists succeed without it...". Time will tell-one thing, NOT painting for 15 years has taught me is that I really do want to be an artist when I grow up.
